The Fiat company, although its name is more associated with the automotive industry, as a car manufacturer, also operates in the production of agricultural equipment. Fiat is an Italian company operating in the automotive industry since 1899 under the name Fiat Trattori, which was a leading manufacturer of tractors in Europe. In 1991, Fiat sold its agricultural equipment production unit to Same Deutz-Fahr. In 2009, Fiat takes over the New Holland brand and once again operates in the agricultural industry, supplying agricultural machinery to international markets.
